Belly Casting
Belly Casting is a special way to preserve that magical time when your round and glowing. The process is focused on keeping you relaxed and comfortable. We usually book the appointment for 2 hours but the actual casting takes less than 1hour. We begin with a foot soak and scrub while we discuss how you would like your cast to look. Then we massage the belly, arms, and chest with oil to help remove the plaster after the casting. Now comes the fun part! We do 3 layers of casting and then a layer of extra plaster. We only have to wait a few minutes for the plaster to harden and then we can start lifting the cast off the skin. Once its removed we wipe down with hot wet towels to remove any extra plaster. 2 weeks later its ready for you to take home. That gives me time to sand it, do another 3 layers of casting, the final layer of plaster, then sand and prime it. It takes about 48hours to fully dry between layers so that explains why we say 2 weeks before you can take it home.
